Social Stratification and the Youth

The world today is filled with sparkling amount of youngsters; gifted, ungifted, talented and untalented youth. This generation youth are young ones who are directed, supported, mentored. There is also another category of youngsters who are contrarily the opposition of the directed and mentored youth; they are the unsupported, misdirected youths. There is a saying about a coin being two sided this adage also coincides to life having its good side and  bad sides as well, don’t you think that an average youth is also faced with the good and the bad sides? Oh yes!! Everyone has its good and bad sides and everyone is faced at a certain time with the coin situation. Let’s consider two interesting social stratifying approaches of a youth;
The rich and the poor
This instance is brought forth because it is one of the popular descriptions of social stratification in our society today and everything evolves hugely around this stance. The rich are considered as those graced and opportune right? , they can actually get everything they want, in the African community they can be easily connected/linked to their fellow high stratified fellows who eventually links there youths(kids) to a higher echelon, without linkage, this category are financially buoyant to have a good rapport with their peers of the same height. They are provided with basic amenities which enables them secure the heights they are presently; as their parents and sponsors are seen as the bastion to their success, they are groomed, mentored, monetised and provisioned into the society of ours not to forget being exposed to the society and the world around them.
On the contrary, the poor or the less privileged are youths (kids) birthed by struggle, schooled by struggle and climbs the ladder of success by struggle. Let’s also say God’s grace also walks with them. Birthed by struggle, let’s take it aback for a while , the parents of this category of youths might probably be exposed to struggle during pregnancy and post-partum stages as even meals, medications of the mother was a disadvantage, after this period, the child is exposed to intense hustle as they are exposed to a harsh society, community secondary schools which are termed to be owned by the government; but the reverse is the case here as the teachers are high school certificates or WAEC holders, school dropouts who display themselves as teachers and mentors of this kids hereby, transmitting there low IQ to this youths, schools of low intellectual exhibition, this as a factor decreases the child’s initiative as to be compared to the contrary, some of them in this category are unexposed as they are restricted to a confined environment where growth in every positive aspect is a denial, as they are misinformed about vital information and misuses certain bouquets.
They struggle through schooling; some of them because of financial issues playing its major role loss interest of continuum and are force to stop by parents while some conduits through intense suffering just to attain a fixed goal for themselves and their families and even after graduation because of being unexposed and also attending less facilitated schools,  they have no mindset of venturing into any sustainable means of profit, thereby relying on the high seeking white collar jobs which are practically on the favor of the connected and highly stratified citizens leaving the graduates to affiliate with undergraduates just to make a living.
