Nomphobia
can be defined as the fear of being out of mobiles. It is observed amongst
that phone is gradually becoming an addictive tool any young one or even adults
can’t do without. According to CNET, 60% of our young ones don’t stay for an
hour without checking their phones, 54 check their phones while lying in beds
and 9% also check their phones at church. Okay, at church? Now this is bad! You
have been with that same phone from Monday to Saturday, and you are just going
to spend few hours in church and you are doing that? Yes! Few hours because you
are to leave soon to go meet that same phone at home.
Someone
says she doesn’t make use of hers during service, okay, it is fine. I have
seen someone actually logging into Facebook whilst the message is been transmitted in church,
hey! It is wrong. I know you might be bored which is not normal but hey!
Persevere. It is been advised that you should keep your phone far away from
your reach, that you no longer feel chained, but the result of this have been
depression, causing nausea, dizziness and boredom as you can easily run back to
get that phone to overcome this.
Chances
of you being nomphobic is when you decided to drop your phone and go out for a
walk, a drive and you find yourself panicking, feeling the need to be with your
phone and if you react on the contrary then you are just being attracted merely
to your device. Phones are big distractions to a good reasoning as they make
you spend the entire 24 hours of the day going to and fro a particular app, just
take a deep breath and leave your phone for a while, you can definitely come
back to it, do breath.
Remember
eyes on the money, not on the phone.
