Do you know that there are 10,000 types of ants? and together they eat anything. I once thought that ants only feed on sugar until when I got into the house to see my olive oil gathered with ants. Then I thought for a second, maybe the ant world are in famine, poor things!!.

Do you also know that ants also feed on other ants? Do you also know that some ants search for food with protein or fats?. Heard about the factions of ants?

1. Sugar Ants: These ants mostly depends on sugar, they are sometimes termed “Sugar rush”. They have no interest in proteins and fat.

2. Carpenter Ants? These species eats woods, hollowing out it process. They prefer foods like honeydew. They also eat other insects and flesh from dead animals.

3. Fire Ants? They eat seeds and sugar, meat as well as fat.

4. Pavement Ants? Mostly seen eating a wad of discarded chewing gum.

5. Pharaoh Ants? Now my research led me to find the ants that camped on my olive oil, not only my olive oil, my rice. Hoe deliciously prepared was my rice. Maybe! They are termed pharaoh because of how mean they are right? What they eat? Anything they see.

6.Thief Ants? Enticing names for this little things. What they eat? Meats, fat and oil.
